Mike Wallace to Wear Number 11 For Miami Dolphins

With quarterback Ryan Tannehill already wearing No. 17, Mike Wallace faced one of the hardest decisions of his short-lived Miami Dolphins career, what number to wear.

When Mike Wallace joined the Dolphins, the receiver hinted that he may choose No. 11.

“If I couldn’t get 17, I’d probably go with maybe 11 or something,” he said to The Finsiders at the time.

Well, it’s official — Wallace will wear No. 11, per The Finsiders’ Jesse Agler.

The Dolphins have only had a couple of players wear number 11, the last was Julius Pruitt last season. But, the one Dolphin who wore number 11 that stood out was quarterback/running back/wide receiver Jim Jensen, who donned the jersey from 1981-92.

Miami made huge splashes this offseason and Wallace was clearly the biggest of them all. How far can the combo of Tannehill and Wallace take the Dolphins this season? Let us know in the comments bellow.
